Project Description: | 5241 Lowell Blvd - Guardian Recovery Network ABW Group Homes 1 LLC (“ABW”) is proposing a partnership with Guardian Recovery Network’s (“Guardian”) Residential Treatment Centers to provide 24-hour staff supervised all-inclusive, holistic, clinical and medical services to adults over the age of 18 at 5241 Lowell Blvd (the “Property”). We provide support to individuals post medical detoxification for a varied length of time, typically between 21 and 28 days. The 24-hour staff consists of medical professionals, licensed therapists, group facilitators and support staff, highly skilled in their respective disciplines, and fully trained in crisis intervention, emergency response, and safety and security measures.
Our Joint Commission accredited facilities are some of the most well-respected, highly rated, evidence-based treatment centers in the country. Our residential facilities are all beautiful properties with homestyle amenities and picturesque campuses in recovery-strong communities. Our facilities resemble, both inside and out, a private retreat as opposed to a hospital or medical facility. We seek to protect the confidentiality and dignity of our clients, and as a result, tend to blend our facilities in with their neighboring surroundings. Clients are transported in and out of our facilities discretely, more often than not in company vehicles, or transported by family or friends.
Clients are provided with clinical programming 7 days a week, have weekly sessions with medical professionals, as well as consults with nursing staff multiple times per week.
Clients who arrive to one of our residential facilities have been stabilized medically, and have progressed past the potential hazards of withdrawal, although we are still staffed with highly qualified medical personnel, who perform regular assessments. Residential treatment can be viewed as an extension of the traditional detox only treatment, helping to further stabilize our clients to increase their chances of remaining sober upon reentering the community.
The duplex on the Property was constructed in 2016 by a previous owner and in accordance with the site plan and building permit drawings attached to this conceptual review application. Guardian does not propose any modifications to the existing duplex.
Guardian is unclear as to the entire permit history of the Property and recognizes that the proposed residential uses and services described above may require a land use permit. Guardian anticipates up to thirty (30) clients on the Property at a time. Our intent of this conceptual review application is to clarify the necessary land use approvals for Guardian’s proposed use on the Property. We look forward to working with the County. |
